The once grand Hastings pier was closed in 2006 when it was deemed to have decayed to the point of being unsafe, Built in 1872, it has enjoyed a great history before this film was shot, around 3 years after it was effectively destroyed by fire in 2010. This promotion was to highlight its major 2014/15 major re-development and is scheduled re-opening by the summer of 2015.
